Countryside Gundogs is an Iowa hunting dog trainer, family-owned and operated by Jeff, Becky, Tyller, and Madyson Chapman. We are located in East Central Iowa and offer several different German Shorthair training programs to best fit you and your hunting companion!

We train all breeds of Iowa gun dogs, including: German Shorthair pointers, Wirehair, Vislas, Brittany's, Labs, and Springer Spaniels. We also have German Shorthair Pointers for sale as well as started/finished Iowa hunting dogs.

We test our dogs in AKC and NAVHDA events. At Countryside Gundogs, your hunting companion will receive the personal attention they need because we train only a limited amount of hunting dogs at once to ensure each dog will reach their full potential. We will train your Iowa hunting dog to any level you would like them to reach. From basic obedience, to labs going on blind retrieves with hand signals to guide them, to pointing dogs achieving AKC master hunter title or all levels of NAVHDA.
